I almost didn't sign up for it this year. But a sense of tradition and by God, I can't miss this! won out.
So I will see y'all there tomorrow afternoon, I hope. Just look for a first-time-ever-outside-of-camp sighting of this. Complete with a rescue dog in her very own doggie life vest. 'Cause I come prepared.
Until then, contemplate this. Lies, damned lies, Facebook stats, and sadistics. I'm not stating my opinion - it's a warning.

LOL! Yep, I'll be lucky if I get together a couple of soft-sided ice chests and loop them on my bike. Not prepared at all. That's what makes it fun.
It's most likely because most of the parades are right here, a block and a half from my house. I'll get something eventually, even if I don't really try...
Does it worry anyone that Atlas Shrugged was at 1250?
It worries me more that "Atlas Shrugged" was even ON there. I've never finished that book. And I honestly don't want to, which may explain why I never got to 1250 on my SATs.
I am surprised that these lists of the top 10 favorite books of college students even have that many "classics" on there. I would have expected it to be populated with more current pop lit. (That, and people tend to put things on their profiles that aren't necessarily their faves - just what they want you to think is.)
And there's the other problem with this chart...the Facebook stats.
I viewed it...what can I say BUll*#!*
By the way I love the poster, are they seeling them online?
Click on the poster itself for the link to Barkus' site, and there is a link for its shop. The posters are $75. I personally opted for a t-shirt, but then again, I am a t-shirt nut...
