For those of you who have no clue as to where Myanmar is...

...well, there you go.

Looks all too familiar, doesn't it?

Go here for ways to help the people of Myanmar at this time (thanks, Athenae).

And go here and here to see why we all need to slap that tool of a First Lady that we have tagging along behind our illustrious oaf of a prez.

I was pretty disturbed by Laura's comments as well. Pot? Kettle? Anyone?

I've never understood why so many people think she's so wonderful. Sure, she comes off a lot better than her idiot husband, but that's not saying much.

Judas Wept! Hasn't anyone seen the video of the First Effete's Cyclone Press Conference? Whe went way off topic about Jenna's wedding plans...like for a while. It was de'ja Barbara in the Astrodome all over again only dumber. Creepy.

You can also check out the Burma News Ladder, where I also am an actual, ahem, editor:

So far 55,000 dead. Over 30,000 missing, Millions homeless.

I posted this all over da'Ladda, but have long before this considered the man-made rapes of New Orleans and Burma as opposite sides of the same coin tossed into the abyss of Shock Doctrinair Disaster Capitalism--by the book.
Sorry y'all, Burma is personal for me. But also, I'm having flashbacks when I read about Rangoon.

I know. I know about the dark dark. Who of you knows too?

The people of Burma are right now even more theirselves alone.

And speaking of regime change, any'ting on'da stove about RT3?
The 3rd Anniversary is, like tomorrow, right? That's how I feel it. The time is MFKn now.

The thug jackal butcher rapists evil junta changed the country's name to Myanmar after they killed over 3000 people (in just over 12 hours) in front of the Great Pagoda in Rangoon (the former capitol city that they changed the name of to Yangon) in 1988, exactly 20 years to the minute before the opening of the Beijing Olympics at 8:08pm on 8-08-08.

Editilla, we do need to start planning.

And A, Laura is just such a tool in so many ways. I think the only reason why she has a slightly better rep than her hubby is that she keeps her mouth shut more and her pet causes are largely uncontroversial. At least, they haven't seemed to set off many alarms in the media...but that's maybe because there's so much more for us all to worry about than what Laura Bush does or says.

There once was a time when I could get angry over Laura's comments to and about under-resourced countries and peoples. Now I just have to take a shower afterwards.

Sometimes I feel that she does more damage than the Idiot. It's one thing to be the bought-and-paid-for President of the "Free" World... as a public figure, he has to speak and be heard. She doesn't -- her role is supportive, an "of the people" facade. So when she opens her mouth, I worry that the world looks to her as a representation of the 'average' American viewpoint. That thought grosses me out beyond belief.

Following in the steps of her clueless Mother-in-law, that one.

Where is our modern Robespierre?

You know yer already my hero.

Oh yeah, Laura pissed'em off good over in Burmaland.
I call it Reaper'vu. When I heard them, the Burmese, talking about how wrong it was to condition aid to the Bush Administration's political demands.

Like her mutter-in-law she offers us shit in one hand half a dozen in da'utter.

Reaper'vu all over again.

If New Orleans and Rangoon were opposite sides of the same coin, who would get the next call?

T'anks, Babe.
