Time Machine

The Cafe Du Monde in the 40's looks so tranquil...

It was definitely another world.

Damn right. It was another planet. Glad I got off it...but wait, I was never on it...

Is the airport of the 40's supposed to look better than the airport now?

It's supposed to be more "modern", I guess.

I also love how they glossed over night life in the city, too. Don't go showing those audiences even a glimpse of Bourbon Street, now. Just not modern enough. ;-)

I think maybe our new slogan should be ... "New Orleans: Progressive for 1940."

Bourbon Street was much more risque back in the early '60s for much of America's tastes.

My dad driving down Bourbon- "Annie! I don't think the kids should see this at their age."

Mom- "They'll learn about these things anyway."

Now it's just drunken college kids.
